Responsibilities

  • Support incident response as a shadow or secondary responder using AI-driven detection, correlation, and root-cause analysis tools.
  • Build incident timelines from metrics, logs, traces, and deployment history, and document postmortems and corrective actions through closure.
  • Operate and monitor AI SRE sub-agents and flag anomalies for senior review.
  • Build and maintain Datadog monitors, dashboards, and SLO definitions as code using Terraform.
  • Support SLI/SLO and error-budget reviews, monitor-hygiene efforts, and AI/ML-assisted alert-noise reduction.
  • Support AWS workloads including ECS/Fargate, EKS, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, ALB, SQS/SNS, and Step Functions.
  • Identify capacity, saturation, cloud-cost, and telemetry-volume anomalies and help attribute them to teams and services.
  • Write Python and Bash automation against Datadog, AWS, GitHub, PagerDuty, and Jira APIs.
  • Contribute Terraform modules, reliability controls, and AI-assisted checks through pull requests and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Create progressively automated runbooks, participate in architecture and reliability reviews, and learn how compliance frameworks apply to regulated systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform, or production-support engineering.
  • Advanced English proficiency in oral and written communication is required.
  • Hands-on exposure to AWS or an equivalent hyperscaler across compute, networking, storage, and managed database services.
  • Exposure to an observability platform such as Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus, New Relic, CloudWatch, or ELK/OpenSearch.
  • Foundational understanding of SLI, SLO, and error-budget concepts.
  • Foundational knowledge of containers, orchestration, and serverless execution models, including Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes.
  • Beginner-to-intermediate Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or similar, including REST API consumption and JSON parsing.
  • Basic Linux troubleshooting and networking knowledge covering DNS, TLS, load balancing, timeouts, and retries.
  • Familiarity with Git, pull-request workflows, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
  • Familiarity with incident management and on-call concepts, including severity models, escalation policies, PagerDuty, or Opsgenie.
  • Experience in product engineering services, enterprise software, or fintech is preferred.
  • Awareness of PCI-DSS, SOC 2, SOX, or GLBA is preferred.
  • Interest in LLM-based assistants and agents for operations and in verifying their output.
  • Preferred but not required certifications include AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or an Associate-level AWS certification, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, Datadog Fundamentals or equivalent, and CKA or KCNA.
