Responsibilities
- Design and implement features across the Mir stack.
- Debug, track down, and fix software issues.
- Participate in code and architectural reviews.
- Create and maintain tests and performance benchmarks.
- Create and maintain documentation that improves the developer experience.
- Engage with the open-source community and commercial partners.
- Collaborate proactively with a distributed team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field.
- At least 2 years of working experience.
- Excellent modern C++ and Rust programming skills.
- Familiarity with Linux as a development and deployment platform.
- Ability to collaborate remotely with diverse team members while remaining motivated, productive, and organized.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.
- Experience with Wayland protocols and compositors is preferred.
- Familiarity with OpenGL, Vulkan, Flutter, and other graphics, toolkit, and animation frameworks is preferred.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming and concurrency patterns is preferred.
- Ability to deliver robust production code and communicate software designs in writing and presentations is preferred.
