Base Salary

$85k - $167k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver responsive, high-performance, accessible front-end architecture for micro-frontends.
  • Develop scalable, maintainable UI modules and components for Ford’s eCommerce products and Vehicle Dashboard.
  • Build integrations with existing Ford software products, microservices-based backends, and external cloud services.
  • Use AI coding assistants such as Ford LLM and GitHub Copilot with prompt design and guard-railing.
  • Implement UI features from Figma design specifications.
  • Analyze and improve application performance using Lighthouse, Dynatrace, Core Web Vitals, and related monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, engineers, cloud, security, SRE, and DevOps specialists.
  • Test and debug UI issues across browsers and devices and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience developing and delivering modern web applications.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with React, Next.js, or comparable front-end frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript ES6+ and TypeScript, including DOM manipulation and browser APIs.
  • Experience with accessible, user-centric interfaces and WCAG standards.
  • Experience with micro-frontend architectures, server-side rendering, client-side rendering, and static site generation.
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, responsive design, BEM, and SMACSS.
  • Experience with state management solutions such as Redux, Zustand, or Flux.
  • Proficiency with Node.js, NPM, Yarn, Webpack, and Babel.
  • Experience with unit, integration, acceptance, and end-to-end testing using Jest and Playwright.
  • Knowledge of Core Web Vitals, web performance practices, SEO principles, and design systems.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, XSS, CSRF, CSP, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and secure coding practices.
  • Google Cloud Platform experience is highly preferred.
