Responsibilities
- Configure and commission PLC-based motion and control software for folder gluers.
- Integrate and test motion control, fast I/O glue systems, machine control, and advanced HMI systems.
- Provide remote and on-site technical customer support and troubleshoot complex issues under time pressure.
- Diagnose software and hardware problems, including wiring, electrical cabinets, and electrical or mechanical faults.
- Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams on system modifications and upgrades.
- Train operators and maintenance staff on machine operation and software use.
- Document commissioning work, troubleshooting steps, and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO/HTS) in Technical Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in industrial automation, commissioning, or field service engineering.
- Strong PLC programming and motion control experience.
- Sigmatek hardware experience is preferred; B&R, Beckhoff, Siemens, or Rockwell knowledge is valuable.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting machines with limited documentation.
- Familiarity with Dutch technical standards such as NEN3140 and VCA-VOL and with applicable safety regulations.
- Analytical, practical, hands-on problem-solving ability, including willingness to work inside electrical cabinets.
- Flexibility to work in international customer environments and independently under pressure.
- Strong English and Dutch communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
