Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and support scalable software for specialty clinical workflows.
  • Build full-stack features across frontend applications, backend services, APIs, data persistence, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Own work throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements refinement and technical design through production support.
  • Develop domain knowledge of specialty clinical workflows to improve technical decisions, ticket triage, dependency mapping, and coordination.
  • Build and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests and strengthen testing through AI-assisted test generation and coverage analysis.
  • Use Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and similar tools for codebase exploration, implementation, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review.
  • Critically evaluate AI-generated code, tests, designs, and recommendations, and mentor engineers on responsible AI-tool use.
  • Explore technologies such as GraphQL and monitor application health and performance to support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 4 years of software engineering experience in a product development organization.
  • Strong full-stack development experience covering backend services, frontend applications, APIs, data persistence, and production support.
  • Solid backend development experience with Java or modern object-oriented programming languages.
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend architecture.
  • Production experience with Perl and/or Python, including maintaining, extending, and modernizing existing applications.
  • Experience designing, building, and supporting APIs using technologies such as REST and GraphQL.
  • Experience with relational databases, data modeling, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with distributed systems and monolithic, microservices, modern, and legacy production architectures.
