Staff iOS Developer Experience Engineer - Slack

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain complex iOS developer tooling spanning CI to CD.
- Develop Bazel build systems, software factories, agentic automated testing, and intelligent developer workflows.
- Integrate AI coding agents to automate pull-request generation, code reviews, boilerplate refactoring, and pipeline triage.
- Monitor and improve CI stability, TimeToMerge, build-time metrics, and other developer productivity KPIs.
- Lead technical design and code-quality efforts while mentoring and growing iOS engineers.
- Own improvements across Slack’s broader iOS codebase and troubleshoot build and CI issues.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building and maintaining complex iOS tooling from CI to CD.
- Deep expertise with Swift, Bazel, Python, and Xcode tools.
- Hands-on experience using and integrating AI coding agents such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot Workspace, or custom LLM scripts.
- Familiarity with Apple ecosystem tooling, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing tools, and scripting such as Python and bash.
- A related technical degree is required.
- Prior iOS developer experience or experience using Slack is a bonus.
