QA Automation Intern, Summer 2027
Tyler TechnologiesResponsibilities
- Build and maintain test automation using Katalon and create API tests with ReadyAPI and Postman.
- Design and execute test cases for new features and support regression testing cycles.
- Reproduce, document, and track defects in Jira and Zephyr while partnering with developers on root-cause context.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD using Jenkins and GitHub Actions and analyze failures, including flaky tests.
- Map test cases to requirements, maintain QA documentation, apply secure testing practices, and collaborate in Scrum events to improve acceptance criteria and coverage.
Requirements
- Pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or having equivalent coursework.
- Basic programming knowledge and fundamentals of test automation.
- Introductory SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
- Familiarity with Agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to Katalon, ReadyAPI, Postman, Jira, Zephyr, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, ChatGPT, or Claude-code.
