Responsibilities
- Understand detailed requirements for functional, non-functional, and usability testing of SaaS applications.
- Design and execute functional/performance test scenarios to assess scalability and stability.
- Develop detailed test cases covering critical scenarios and conduct exploratory testing.
- Automate performance test cases using tools like JMeter and LoadRunner.
- Collect performance test data using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Identify performance bottlenecks through profiling and analysis of system metrics.
- Develop performance benchmarks and conduct load and stress tests.
- Automate functional/performance tests on both API and UI.
- Collaborate with engineers across disciplines.
- Investigate performance issues proactively.
- Respond to performance inquiries from various teams.
- Contribute to testing strategy and planning.
- Ensure testability and robustness of products.
- Work closely with PM and developers for high-quality releases.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- BE/BTech/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 8-12 years of hands-on experience in performance engineering.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter and LoadRunner.
- Deep understanding of profiling and tuning JVM-based applications.
- Hands-on experience with database performance tuning.
- Expertise in analyzing CPU, memory, disk, and network performance.
- Strong understanding of multi-threading and concurrency.
- Experience with cloud-based performance optimization in AWS.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and tools like Jenkins and Docker.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Actimize solutions or financial crime products is a plus.
- Self-motivated with strong ownership and drive.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
