
Azure Platform Engineer, Assistant Vice President

Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable, resilient Azure infrastructure aligned with enterprise security, governance, availability, and regulatory standards.
- Enable standardized and reusable Azure services and platform capabilities, including identity, access management, configuration management, and monitoring strategies.
- Develop and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code and scripting automation for provisioning, configuration, validation, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Create and improve automation, CI/CD pipelines, reusable modules, platform standards, guardrails, reference architectures, and operational tooling.
- Collaborate with architects, software development leads, application teams, testers, and quality engineers to enable and optimize workloads on Azure.
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, document root causes and resolutions, and improve observability, reliability, resiliency, and self-healing capabilities.
- Contribute to Azure governance, security, compliance, cost optimization, developer experience, and continuous platform modernization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- At least 8 years of hands-on IT experience, including at least 5 years designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale Azure environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and deep knowledge of Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, cloud-native architecture, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Experience with hybrid on-premises and cloud solutions in large, complex enterprises.
- Experience with CI/CD and SDLC tooling such as Azure DevOps, Harness, and ServiceNow.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, High Availability, Azure Key Vault, AKS, Event Hubs, Azure AD, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Cosmos DB.
- Strong programming and scripting skills with Python, Shell scripting, Azure PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
- Experience designing, coding, and deploying Terraform and/or ARM templates for full-stack automation and Azure service enablement.
- Understanding of Azure Policy, RBAC, networking architectures, cost management, compliance controls, authentication protocols, SSL/TLS communication, and automated unit and integration testing.
- Ability to produce well-documented, compliant design artifacts and communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
- Experience with cost optimization, compliance posture improvement, Azure OpenAI, financial services or regulated industries, and relevant Azure or cloud certifications is preferred.
