Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
  • Improve operational stability by identifying and automating remediation of recurring application and system issues.
  • Lead adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted coding, review, testing, troubleshooting, and automation practices.
  • Coach engineers on responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, correctness, performance, and security validation.
  • Monitor and support applications across infrastructure and functional areas.
  • Manage incidents and problems and participate in change review and approval processes.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams on architectural designs and technical capabilities.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
  • Experience with applications or infrastructure in large-scale technology environments spanning on-premises and public-cloud systems.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Jira Service Desk or comparable ticketing systems.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code using modern programming languages and database query languages.
  • Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI practices, application resiliency, security, monitoring, incident and problem management, change approval, and agile delivery practices.
  • Working knowledge of Geneos, ServiceNow, Grafana, Splunk, DynaTrace, Oracle, cloud platforms, and Java applications.
