Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded software for infrared and sensing systems.
- Participate in requirements review, software design, coding, unit testing, system integration, and sustaining engineering.
- Develop multithreaded, multicore, and board-level embedded software.
- Design, specify, and implement low-latency protocols and interfaces between peripherals and devices.
- Set up embedded toolchains, build environments, debugging environments, and use hardware debugging equipment.
- Work with hardware components, peripheral buses, embedded SoCs, imaging platforms, and image acquisition and processing systems.
Requirements
- Require 3+ years of experience with embedded programming and board-level software development in C or equivalent.
- Require experience with embedded RTOS environments and multithreaded software development.
- Require the ability to understand both hardware and software components of embedded systems.
- Require strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Prefer expertise in multicore embedded software and experience developing on embedded SoCs.
- Prefer experience with NVIDIA or Qualcomm multicore imaging and vision processing platforms.
- Prefer knowledge of I2C, SPI, and USB peripheral buses.
- Prefer experience with infrared technologies, image acquisition, and image processing.
- Value experience using AI tools in software development workflows.
- Require a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent combinations of education, training, and directly related professional experience.
