Responsibilities

  • Define technical solutions through research and team investigation in alignment with CTO-directed vision.
  • Design and build software across the full stack, including code structure, deployment architecture, DevOps, automated testing, and third-party integrations.
  • Guide proofs of concept into production and mentor team members on technologies and practices.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams on solution design and roadmap delivery within agreed budgets.
  • Migrate existing polyglot solutions to standardized Rust and TypeScript and develop portable deployment architectures.
  • Design and construct distributed and asynchronous systems, including microservices and messaging solutions.
  • Use LLMs extensively to accelerate software delivery and produce design documentation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a software developer or engineer, including enterprise-level complexity.
  • High proficiency in at least one enterprise-quality programming language and ecosystem, such as C# with .NET or Java with Spring.
  • Experience with a lower-level application or systems language such as Rust or C++.
  • Experience with TypeScript, React or similar frontend frameworks, and web application development.
  • Hands-on experience deploying to Azure and/or AWS, building CI/CD pipelines, and using infrastructure scripting frameworks such as Terraform.
  • Demonstrable experience designing and constructing distributed and asynchronous architectures, including microservices and messaging.
  • Experience using LLMs in place of hand-coding and explaining their effect on delivery speed and system safety.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise design documents with LLM assistance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for translating requirements into technical tasks.
