Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end product features across mobile and backend systems.
- Build internal tools, merchant-facing platforms, and customer-facing mobile flows.
- Design database schemas, APIs, observability, SLOs, alerts, dashboards, documentation, and tests.
- Contribute to or lead architecture and design decisions, including writing proposals and presenting trade-offs.
- Conduct code reviews, identify correctness and security issues, and mentor engineers.
- Respond to production incidents and improve runbooks and system reliability.
- Use AI tools for coding, debugging, refactoring, testing, architecture exploration, and prototyping.
- Help teammates grow through pairing, feedback, and code reviews, particularly at the Lead level.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of full-stack experience; 5 or more years for the E3 Lead level.
- Strong Java/Spring backend skills, with Python or Go as additional experience.
- Strong production mobile development skills using Flutter and Dart.
- Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AWS ECS, and AWS Lambda.
- Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architectures, unit testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and cloud deployment.
- Awareness of payments platforms, including flows, constraints, and failure modes in BNPL or fintech products.
- Fluent Spanish and working English for international collaboration.
- Ability to write clear technical documentation, explain trade-offs, take ownership, and work product-mindedly in a changing environment.
- Preferred experience with Angular, React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, payment systems, payment service providers, payment rails, BNPL, on-call operations, shared libraries, tooling, internal platforms, or technology-stack transitions.
- Experience using Claude, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT for software development and creating reusable AI workflows.
