Responsibilities
- Design, code, implement, and enhance software solutions that build, test, and automate deployment of New Balance applications.
- Build scalable release engineering tools and infrastructure in partnership with DevOps, quality engineering, software development, and release management teams.
- Automate and optimize data refresh, data validation, and database deployment processes within CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve the reliability, functionality, performance, and scalability of build and deployment systems.
- Gather requirements from engineering teams and translate them into software features.
- Analyze and debug large-scale distributed systems, including mainframe, middleware/API, and cloud technologies.
- Provide on-call support and respond to incidents during critical application release cycles.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing software and managing development toolchains.
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and AWS.
- Experience developing application and platform solutions in a matrixed environment.
- Experience scripting or coding with Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby, or Java.
- Kubernetes deployment tooling and test automation experience.
- Expertise analyzing and debugging large-scale distributed systems, including mainframe, MuleSoft, and distributed cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and OpenShift.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a distributed, cross-functional team environment.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Proficiency with waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
