Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end design and development of key web application features and the underlying services that support them.
  • Make technology decisions and help establish frontend architecture for scale, speed of iteration, and quality.
  • Participate in discovery, design, implementation, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with AI product managers, legal domain experts, AI engineers, software engineers, and other cross-functional partners to prototype and ship products.
  • Champion quality and code reuse across the product and codebase.
  • Influence product direction and ensure delivered features address customer needs and business metrics.
  • Participate in architecture and code reviews to improve application quality, maintainability, security, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Strong frontend development background, ideally with React, TypeScript, and/or Next.js.
  • Proven experience building user-facing products and understanding customer perspectives.
  • Proven experience delivering large, complex software engineering systems.
  • Ability to solve technically challenging customer problems and ship iteratively using feedback.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Backend development experience, ideally with Python, is desirable.
  • Experience with LLMs and OpenAI’s API is desirable.
  • Previous Product Engineer experience or experience taking on product responsibilities is desirable.
  • Experience working in small, fast-paced environments with substantial ownership and autonomy is desirable.
  • Experience with modern development practices such as BDD, TDD, 12 Factor, and CI/CD is desirable.
