Responsibilities
- Formulate real-world business problems into practical, efficient, and scalable AI and machine learning solutions.
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms, models, and computational systems.
- Design and build scalable data pipelines for model training and production with DevOps and MLOps.
- Customize and apply deep learning and generative AI models, including for edge-device and high-performance computing use cases.
- Research and develop AI and high-performance computing algorithms, models, simulations, and applications.
- Process large-scale datasets and implement data storage and retrieval mechanisms for models and knowledge.
- Support production deployment with monitoring, alerting, automatic bug filing, auditing, and reliability practices.
- Collaborate with clients, business owners, engineers, architects, users, and UI designers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Explain and justify the value of model approaches for business problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, or a related field.
- Work or coursework experience in machine learning engineering or machine learning science, including deploying models in production at scale.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, automatic bug filing, and auditing for production machine learning systems.
- Work or coursework experience applying computer science foundations, computer system architecture, system engineering, and programming.
- Proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with language model APIs and optimizing their usage for specific applications.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, client-facing consulting skills, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
