Responsibilities

Design and build highly scalable, reliable, and performant databases.
Create simple and intuitive APIs for the underlying database.
Analyze and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks.
Debug and fix system issues, delivering long-term solutions.
Define technical strategy for robust infrastructure supporting high-scale systems.
Collaborate with product teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Build internal tools to improve engineering productivity.
Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability.

4+ years of industry experience, including 2+ years leading large-scale projects.
Strong passion for building distributed systems with a focus on reliability and scalability.
Expertise in systems programming, with experience in multi-threading and concurrency.
Proficiency in C++ and/or Python is highly preferred.
Domain experience in databases, large-scale data systems, or distributed infrastructure is preferred.
Excellent communication skills to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
