Base Salary

$57k - $81k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Analyze functional requirements and generate comprehensive test cases.
  • Write functional test procedures and automated test scripts.
  • Execute formal product testing using test procedures and automated scripts.
  • Conduct exploratory testing based on product knowledge.
  • Report product issues and verify defect fixes in the defect tracking system.
  • Build and maintain engineering test facilities, including test rooms, hardware, and software.
  • Assist with hardware and software simulators.
  • Advance testing tools, technologies, processes, and automated test frameworks.
  • Recommend improvements to the product testing process and collaborate with internal and external teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, or a related discipline, or commensurate experience in software development or software testing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel macros, pivot tables, XML files, formulas, and commands, and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety measures when working with electrical equipment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Coursework or experience with test methodologies, quality assurance practices, object-oriented development, or component-based product development is desired.
  • Experience developing software using AI tools, automated testing, programming, embedded controls, building control systems, refrigeration cycles, chillers, or configuring embedded controllers is desired.
  • Completed engineering internship experience contributing to embedded controls development, software implementation, or structured software testing is desired.
  • Programming experience with Python, C, C++, or other languages is desired.
