Base Salary

$130k - $150k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Prototype and ship an AI-powered product improvement with the team.
  • Own a scoped productionization project, such as integrating a model or technique, adding monitoring and guardrails, or improving latency, cost, reliability, or safety.
  • Build or extend evaluation sets and frameworks, run experiments, analyze results, and translate findings into product or system changes.
  • Depending on team placement, build AI product experiences, improve model integration and serving infrastructure, or develop evaluation and human-in-the-loop quality systems.

Requirements

  • Less than two years of engineering experience and solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  • Experience building and prototyping through coursework, projects, internships, or hackathons, including some exploration of AI/ML.
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL and the ability to take an idea from prototype to a working feature with guidance.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous problems holistically, decompose complex problems, and balance technical and business impact.
  • Clear communication, initiative, ownership, and proactive problem-solving are required.
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, and Elasticsearch is preferred.
  • Interest in the relationship between technology and society and awareness of computing pioneers such as Ada Lovelace, Douglas Engelbart, and Alan Kay are preferred.
