Responsibilities

  • Design, build, maintain, and standardize hybrid infrastructure platforms across on-premises datacenters and public cloud environments.
  • Develop reusable platform services, golden images, reference architectures, engineering guardrails, and self-service provisioning capabilities.
  • Create Infrastructure-as-Code modules and automation workflows for provisioning, compliance validation, lifecycle management, patching, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Engineer and optimize hybrid cloud environments across VMware Cloud Foundation, Azure, AWS, and future cloud platforms.
  • Support cloud landing zones, workload discovery, migration readiness, provisioning, cutovers, and validation for multi-cloud migrations.
  • Manage cloud-enabled identity and directory services, including Active Directory/Azure AD integration, Entra, RBAC/ABAC, policy-based access control, service principals, and secrets management.
  • Implement and troubleshoot hybrid network connectivity, segmentation, routing, firewall rules, load balancing, and workload performance requirements.
  • Advance cloud governance, policy enforcement, tagging, cost management, FinOps reporting, observability, and infrastructure security.
  • Partner with cloud, networking, security, automation, and application teams on platform roadmaps and modernization initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technology-related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure and multi-cloud hyperscalers, including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • 5+ years working with Terraform and advanced understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
  • Deep experience designing, building, and operating CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and enterprise source control platforms.
  • Experience with Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Python scripting, and REST APIs.
  • Experience with cloud governance, policy management, FinOps practices, cloud networking, DNS, cloud-enabled identity services, security controls, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Hands-on experience with observability platforms such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.
  • Azure, AWS, cloud-related, or HashiCorp Terraform certifications are preferred or desirable.
  • Familiarity with Internal Developer Platforms is preferred.
  • Preferred experience includes VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, hybrid cloud architectures, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, OpenShift, Databricks infrastructure, AI platform hosting, enterprise data platforms, and AIOps or monitoring integrations.
