Base Salary

$178k - $313k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and implement embedded software for prototype and shipping consumer products.
  • Develop system components across layers including kernels, synchronization primitives, resource allocators, memory management, security, I/O, persistence, camera, and audio.
  • Participate in design reviews and peer and stakeholder code reviews.
  • Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing their sources.
  • Develop performant and energy-efficient software for Specs devices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent years of experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience with embedded software development and ARM architecture.
  • Proficiency programming in C or C++.
  • Experience with one or more of BSP/Board Support Package, operating systems, embedded Linux, graphics, camera, audio, or display.
  • Familiarity with computer architecture, microprocessors, microcontrollers, caches, buses, memory controllers, and DMA.
  • Software development process experience including source control, bug tracking, and design documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, software debugging, and schematic-reading skills.
  • Preferred: experience with power and performance optimization involving the Linux kernel, drivers, and user-space applications.
  • Preferred: understanding of hardware design and ability to read schematics.
