Responsibilities
- Develop, code, test, and debug applications and system enhancements across the software development life cycle.
- Support technical design, development, and integration activities for cross-functional, multi-platform applications.
- Collaborate with technology and business partners to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Review and analyze programming systems with attention to quality and detail.
- Support regulatory, information security, and internal policy requirements in application management.
- Participate in training, mentorship, community outreach, and leadership development opportunities.
Requirements
- Pursuing a relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, with junior or senior standing and an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
- Foundational understanding of the software development life cycle, databases such as Oracle and SQL, batch processing, and network security concepts.
- Knowledge of FTP, SFTP, and firewalls.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python and ability to learn new tools and technologies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, adaptability, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence or security tools and concepts is considered an asset.

- Expected hourly rate of $36 - $40 per hour for the State of Illinois market, based on experience, qualifications, and location.
