Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate IT solutions and software systems for Department of Defense mission requirements.
- Design and build software deliverables according to specifications and complete coding tasks within defined time frames.
- Support collaboration, development, integration, testing, deployment planning, and software compliance activities.
- Evaluate hardware-software interfaces and operational requirements and document testing and maintenance corrections.
- Communicate and document concepts and guidelines for development teams.
- Develop solutions to routine technical problems and contribute to routine technical tasks.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Secret Security Clearance are required.
- Applicants must be actively pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited university and remain enrolled throughout the internship.
- Junior or senior standing and a current GPA of 3.0 or higher are preferred.
- Preferred majors include Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, and related STEM disciplines.
- Preferred technical preparation includes experience or coursework with Python, SQL, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, modern front-end tooling, GitLab, automated testing, backend development, Docker, data analytics and visualization, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts, automation and scripting, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, teamwork, and learning skills are required.
