Responsibilities
- Define and set up automated test frameworks for software under test.
- Determine which tests to automate and how to automate them.
- Define test cases and write test scenarios and code against specifications.
- Apply Clean Code principles to Gherkin, glue code, and test code.
- Determine test execution timing, including daily and per-release testing.
- Ensure smooth operation of daily testing and firmware staging.
- Automatically report test results and submit defects for failing test cases.
- Document design changes and align with application and system testers to ensure sufficient test coverage.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of programming experience in Python.
- Experience with Linux and IP networks.
- Experience using happy flows, alternative flows, and sad flows.
- Experience with functional and non-functional testing.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Subversion and Git.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or software science.
- Knowledge of test technologies such as boundary testing and equivalence partitioning.
- Affinity with hardware and strong analytical, abstract, creative, proactive, organizational, and communication skills.
- Good communication skills in Portuguese and English.
- Planning and team lead experience is required; audio and safety-critical systems knowledge is a plus.
- Strong drive to produce Clean Code and support or create a stable test environment.
