Base Salary

$205k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using TypeScript, Java/Kotlin, and Ruby on Rails.
Architect and evolve APIs consumed by web and mobile clients.
Design and optimize relational data models using Postgres.
Own features end-to-end, from technical design through deployment and iteration.
Improve system performance, observability, and reliability.
Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Frontend, and Mobile Engineering partners.
Participate in system design and code reviews to elevate backend engineering standards.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and maintain high engineering velocity.
Proactively identify and address technical debt.

BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
6+ years of full-stack or backend software engineering experience.
Strong experience building and consuming APIs (RESTful and/or GraphQL).
Production experience with TypeScript, Java/Kotlin, and/or Ruby on Rails.
Experience designing relational schemas and working with Postgres.
Strong understanding of data modeling and query optimization.
Familiarity with Git/GitHub and CI/CD workflows.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and sound engineering judgment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical tradeoffs clearly.
