Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize backend Java applications, microservices, and custom extensions for electrical system design platforms.
- Develop Siemens Capital plugins, custom actions, data bridges, and automation rules using the Capital API ecosystem.
- Translate electrical harness structures, wiring schematics, pinouts, and EWIS rules into software models.
- Build APIs and integration pipelines between ECAD software, MCAD platforms, and PLM systems.
- Conduct code reviews, establish Java and API development best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience using Java/J2EE in electrical, aerospace, defense, or automotive engineering environments.
- Advanced Core Java proficiency, including Java 11+, object-oriented architecture, multithreading, RESTful APIs, and design patterns.
- Deep experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and Maven or Gradle.
- Understanding of electrical wiring schematics, harness layouts, pin-to-pin connectivity, or aerospace EWIS standards.
- Hands-on development experience with the Siemens Capital suite, including Capital Logic, Harness XC, Systems Architect, and its plugin/API ecosystem.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Exposure to XML, JSON data transformation pipelines, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Git, and automated CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
