Responsibilities

  • Complete two one-year rotations across Dell IT and transition into a final role after the program.
  • Develop and deploy AI-powered applications, assistants, agents, automations, and intelligent workflows.
  • Build scalable software using cloud-native architectures and modern engineering practices.
  • Design integrations across enterprise applications, APIs, data platforms, and AI services.
  • Contribute to Retrieval-Augmented Generation, AI-agent, and productivity automation solutions.
  • Partner with architects, product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Apply responsible AI, security, privacy, and governance principles throughout development.
  • Participate in testing, monitoring, CI/CD, and operational excellence practices.
  • Use data and experimentation to improve customer and employee experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning.
  • Relevant Level 8 full-time degree qualification completed in 2026 or 2027.
  • Strong foundations in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, testing, and system design.
  • Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C++.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying AI-powered applications, solutions, or automations through internships, research, coursework, hackathons, open-source work, or personal projects.
  • Experience with Generative AI concepts including LLMs, AI assistants, copilots, AI agents, prompt engineering, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
  • Ability to learn quickly and solve complex problems in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and effective cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Evidence of ownership, accountability, and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Desirable experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, containers, event-driven architecture, testing frameworks, data engineering, databases, or modern data platforms.
  • Desirable participation in hackathons, research programs, technical competitions, or open-source communities, and a portfolio demonstrating practical AI applications.
