Base Salary
$102k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, write, deploy, and maintain software and automation for infrastructure cloud services.
- Improve the availability, scalability, efficiency, and stability of Oracle products and services.
- Design architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems.
- Perform capacity planning, demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning.
- Conduct network operations, incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and recovery execution.
- Develop network automation and device-management solutions.
- Validate software upgrades, verify network stability and reachability, and analyze traffic impact.
- Manage network compliance, change management, vendor engagement, and major maintenance activities.
- Optimize optical network span loss and improve Pre-FEC BER across multi-vendor environments.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with six years of relevant experience; equivalent experience in the offered job or a network/software developer-related occupation is accepted.
- Six years of experience in network and software development.
- Experience with optical DWDM networking across metro, terrestrial, and long-haul environments.
- Knowledge of ROADM/FOADM, Mux/Demux, Flex Mux/Demux, transponders, client pluggables, coherent and non-coherent optical systems, EDFA, and Raman amplifiers.
- Experience with optical hardware and test equipment including OTDR, OSA, OCS, BERT, and power meters.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, cloud networking, cloud computing, cloud AI network infrastructure, HPC, and GPU systems.
- Proficiency with Python, object-oriented programming, query development, data analysis, and REST APIs.
- Experience with YANG, OpenConfig, and NETCONF for network modeling and programmability.
- Experience with Linux and shell-based operations, Jira, Git, code review, version control, and change control.
- Experience with network compliance, change management, vendor engagement, software upgrade validation, network stability verification, reachability testing, and traffic-impact analysis.
