Responsibilities
- Solve complex infrastructure and cloud-service problems and build automation to prevent recurrence.
- Design, write, and deploy software to improve product and service availability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Design architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems.
- Facilitate service capacity planning, demand forecasting, performance analysis, and system tuning.
- Perform network operations, support, incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and recovery execution.
- Develop network automation and device-management solutions.
- Conduct software upgrade validation, network stability verification, reachability testing, and traffic-impact analysis.
- Manage network compliance, change management, vendor engagement, and major maintenance activities in multi-vendor optical networking environments.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Six years of experience in network and software development or in the offered job or a related Network or Software Developer occupation.
- Experience with optical DWDM networking across metro, terrestrial, and long-haul environments.
- Knowledge of ROADM, FOADM, Mux/Demux, Flex Mux/Demux, transponders, client pluggables, coherent and non-coherent optical systems, EDFA, and Raman amplifiers.
- Experience with span-loss mitigation and optimization and Pre-FEC BER improvement.
- Proficiency with transponder technologies, OTDR, OSA, OCS, BERT, and power meters.
- Experience with TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, cloud networking, cloud computing, cloud AI network infrastructure, HPC, and GPU systems.
- Proficiency with Python, object-oriented programming, query development, data analysis, YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF, Linux, and shell-based operations.
- Experience with network compliance, change management, vendor engagement, software upgrade validation, and traffic-impact analysis.
- Familiarity with Jira, Git, code review, version control, change control, Scrum, and Agile methodologies.
