Responsibilities
- Design, develop, install, support, and maintain VisionPLUS solutions, especially CMS and FAS modules.
- Translate functional requirements into technical designs, program specifications, and production-ready solutions.
- Implement architectural direction and system enhancements with engineers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support existing business applications and contribute to moderate and complex projects.
- Analyze batch flows and system processes to improve performance, reduce complexity, and eliminate redundancy.
- Build, configure, upgrade, and test test and production environments.
- Support storage and capacity planning for test and production environments.
- Manage major incidents and improve service recovery times and recurring production issues.
- Conduct testing, installation, and production implementation of application changes.
- Communicate issue, incident, and project status and provide technical documentation.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in VisionPLUS functional and technical design, development, testing, and application support.
- At least 4 years of experience with VisionPLUS modules, preferably CMS and FAS.
- At least 4 years of experience with mainframe technologies including TSO, ISPF, COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
- At least 4 years of experience with source control and reporting utilities such as Endevor and Easytrieve.
- At least 4 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including requirements analysis, technical specifications, testing, deployment, and production support.
- At least 4 years of experience in batch job analysis, system performance tuning, production incident support, test environment build, system configuration, installation, and upgrades.
- At least 4 years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.
- Preferred experience includes SNA, Frame Relay, TCP/IP, card management or issuer-processing platforms, mainframe storage and capacity planning, platform modernization, system optimization, and stakeholder communications.
