Responsibilities
- Build and ship full-stack features for internal systems used across Zipline’s operations.
- Collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders to translate operational workflows into software solutions.
- Contribute to tools that enable Zipline to manufacture, source, scale, and operate its global drone fleet.
- Improve data models, APIs, services, and user interfaces that connect business processes.
- Utilize modern engineering practices, including code review and testing.
- Learn to design software for operational reliability and scale.
- Present your work and its impact at the end of the internship.
Requirements
- Completed the second year of undergraduate studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience building software through internships, research, or personal projects.
- Strong programming fundamentals in languages such as Python, Go, React, or TypeScript.
- Interest in full-stack software development, including backend services and user-facing tools.
- Excitement about using modern AI tooling to enhance productivity.
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems and learn from feedback.
- Interest in working directly with end users to understand software's role in operations.
- Ability to work full-time and onsite in South San Francisco during Fall 2026.
