Senior Software Engineer

- Build applications and infrastructure for the Tyler ERP product suite.
- Design and implement frameworks, microservices, and components for Tyler products.
- Develop and extend core features for infrastructure microservices.
- Define technical standards based on architectural guidelines.
- Build scalable and maintainable software systems.
- Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to deliver market results.
- Lead complex technical projects and influence technical decisions.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Work in an agile environment, attend sprint ceremonies, and continuously improve internal processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating expert-level programming and technical leadership.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience with progression into technical leadership roles.
- Proficiency in C# and .NET 8+ with strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Frontend experience with HTML and JavaScript/TypeScript, including hands-on Angular or a similar modern framework experience.
- Expertise with PostgreSQL/SQL and relational database design and optimization.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
- Comfort working in Linux and strong experience with Git and Docker.
- Experience with test-driven development and automated testing practices.
- Ability to lead complex technical projects, influence technical decisions, and mentor engineers.
- Preferred experience with scalable distributed systems, cloud-native patterns, AWS/Azure/GCP, monitoring and observability, Kubernetes, Terraform or CloudFormation, performance tuning, caching, capacity planning, secure development, code reviews, quality assurance, and multiple programming languages.
- Strong ownership, prioritization, delivery, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
