Base Salary
$141k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly available, scalable, and secure ClickHouse Cloud platforms for regulated and mission-critical environments.
- Build deployment automation across cloud, hybrid, on-premises, and disconnected environments.
- Partner with Dataplane and ClickHouse Core teams to maintain software parity with existing cloud infrastructure.
- Solve scaling, reliability, performance, security, and operational challenges in regulated environments.
- Deploy ClickHouse Cloud on Kubernetes and containerized environments with high availability, replication, and backup.
- Develop and maintain Helm charts, operators, and Kubernetes manifests for database management.
- Automate infrastructure building, scaling, troubleshooting, deployments, and lifecycle management using Terraform, Ansible, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Optimize database performance and storage architecture for on-premises, hybrid, and government cloud deployments.
- Integrate secure authentication, encryption, and access-control mechanisms.
- Maintain technical documentation for system architecture, security, and compliance audits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance, security, and operational issues.
Requirements
- U.S. permanent residency and/or citizenship is required for U.S. federal contract requirements.
- At least 6 years of relevant software development industry experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
- Experience with ClickHouse or relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes tools including Helm, Kustomize, operators, Istio, and service mesh technologies.
- Experience with containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or on-premises equivalents.
- Proficiency in Go or Python for automation and integration.
- Experience with secure, regulated, restricted-network, or air-gapped environments is a strong plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and production-debugging skills.
