Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and stakeholders to define monitoring requirements, performance goals, and enterprise observability needs.
- Develop and implement observability frameworks, monitoring processes, logging, and distributed tracing for systems and applications.
- Implement and manage AppDynamics, Datadog, Splunk, ELK, Sentry, and related monitoring and observability tools.
- Ensure the availability, scalability, reliability, and performance of infrastructure and deployment environments.
- Define KPIs, diagnose issues, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for system and application optimization.
- Support incident management through proactive problem detection, issue isolation, root-cause analysis, and relevant observability data.
- Provide performance reports, recommendations, training, and best-practice guidance to internal teams and end users.
- Design monitoring solutions and recommend SRE and observability best practices across digital and infrastructure environments.
Requirements
- Around 8+ years of experience with IT infrastructure and applications.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in observability and continuous integration.
- At least 2 years of programming experience in Java or relevant technologies.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes cluster management.
- In-depth knowledge of application performance metrics, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to align an organization on complex technical decisions.
