Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system designs.
- Perform embedded software development using C/C++ and existing development tools.
- Support requirements, software and systems architecture, design, integration, testing, verification, and validation.
- Use Python or similar languages for test frameworks and automation, and work with software coverage tools.
- Support mission systems integration architecture and customer deployments.
- Develop software for complex mission computing systems involving memory systems and displays.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and other engineering disciplines.
- Travel to customer sites as required by the program.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and at least 2 years of related experience, or at least 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes embedded development, C++ systems development, hardware-software integration and testing, APIs/BSPs/drivers, OpenGL, health and status systems, and avionics lifecycle execution.
- Preferred experience includes DevSecOps, Python-based test automation, embedded security and encryption, safety-critical software development, and DO-178B or later standards.
- Preferred knowledge includes Bash/Python, Intel x86, ARM, FPGA, SoC, GPP, GPU, embedded system design, release engineering, change and configuration management, debug/trace analysis, and software integration and verification/validation.
- Preferred experience with VxWorks, LynxOS, Integrity, SELinux, network storage, Gigabit Ethernet, InfiniBand, and authentication schemes ranging from RADIUS to LDAP.
- Preferred active Secret clearance and experience participating in major design and architecture reviews.
