Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve reliable, secure, compliant, and auditable systems for Financial Integrity.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across design, implementation, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production operations.
- Design and build scalable distributed systems for high transaction volumes, automated controls, and failure recovery.
- Define the long-term technical vision and roadmap in partnership with product, engineering, operations, risk, and compliance leaders.
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives from technical exploration through delivery while managing risks and ambiguity.
- Develop automated solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Mentor engineers, guide architecture and design reviews, and influence technical decisions across teams.
- Raise engineering standards for system correctness, observability, security, operational excellence, and regulatory readiness.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including significant responsibility for architecture and complex cross-team technical initiatives.
- Deep hands-on experience building backend platforms, distributed systems, and high-throughput data or transaction-processing pipelines.
- Experience designing systems where correctness, reliability, security, auditability, and regulatory compliance are critical.
- Preferred experience with payments, ledgers, risk, or compliance systems.
- Ability to design scalable systems, make architectural trade-offs, and establish long-term technical direction.
- Ability to lead through influence, guide design and code reviews, raise engineering standards, and mentor engineers without direct management responsibility.
- Strong record of translating technical vision into milestones and driving complex initiatives to successful outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate with product, engineering, finance, operations, risk, and compliance stakeholders across regions and time zones.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts, architectural decisions, risks, and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
