Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust services powering lending and credit products.
- Build and maintain secure, scalable, and well-documented APIs for embedding and consuming credit products.
- Lead design reviews, advise on systems architecture, and mentor engineers.
- Champion resilient distributed-systems design and engineering practices for global-scale reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver lending solutions.
- Promote automated testing, code review, monitoring, and platform security practices.
- Drive improvements to platform architecture, engineering practices, and delivery efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years in a technical leadership role involving mentoring and engineering strategy.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, object-oriented programming skills, and backend systems experience.
- Experience with Java or Kotlin and Spring or Spring Boot is preferred for the primary development environment.
- Extensive experience designing and building RESTful APIs and applying modern API design principles.
- Production experience with domain-driven design and event-driven architectures.
- Experience designing and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency, highly available distributed systems at scale.
- Cloud experience with GCP or AWS, including services such as EC2, RDS, ELB, and CloudFront, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Experience in financial services, lending, payments, credit products, or SaaS platform offerings is preferred.
