Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable, performant, secure, and well-architected native Android and iOS applications.
- Provide technical leadership on mobile architecture, frameworks, libraries, code quality, performance, accessibility, and security.
- Write and review mobile code while maintaining high-quality and maintainable applications.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to design and consume REST and GraphQL APIs and cloud-based services.
- Mentor and coach mobile engineers and review technical designs.
- Own mobile build, release, deployment, CI/CD, build automation, and app-store submission processes.
- Champion automated testing, app stability, observability, crash reporting, performance monitoring, analytics, and responsible AI-assisted development.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience focused on mobile application development.
- Strong experience building native Android and native iOS applications with modern mobile architectures and best practices.
- Previous experience as a Lead Engineer, Tech Lead, or Senior Mobile Engineer leading a small team.
- Experience integrating AI-assisted development tools and techniques into development workflows.
- Hands-on experience integrating mobile applications with REST and/or GraphQL APIs and cloud-based services.
- Experience with mobile testing frameworks, automated testing, mobile CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and app-store releases.
- Experience with crash reporting, performance monitoring, and analytics tools to improve application reliability.
- Comfort working with Git, Jira, Confluence, and modern agile engineering workflows.
- Ability to mentor engineers, review code and designs, and balance pragmatism with mobile engineering excellence.
