Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and hands-on development of scalable, responsive full-stack applications.
- Guide developers in implementing solutions with frontend and backend technologies such as Vue.js, Nuxt.js, .NET Core, Python, and Node.js.
- Ensure effective integration among frontend, backend, databases, APIs, and external services.
- Translate functional and business requirements into clear, executable technical solutions.
- Lead technical refinement sessions with Product Management and assess scope, complexity, dependencies, and risks.
- Break down complex solutions into technically executable components and activities.
- Support estimation, work allocation, and technical execution tracking.
- Make technical decisions within the role's responsibility and escalate architectural or cross-functional issues.
- Lead code reviews and promote clean code, automated testing, and development best practices.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical incidents through root-cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
- Mentor developers, provide technical feedback, and help resolve blockers.
- Manage technical debt, maintainability risks, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Promote good practices for CI/CD, testing, deployment, monitoring, and failure recovery in collaboration with DevOps and Infrastructure.
- Evaluate and promote responsible AI-assisted software development tools for productivity, code generation and review, testing, documentation, and technical analysis.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Solid full-stack development experience with demonstrated technical leadership responsibilities.
- Experience leading developers through solution design, technical refinement, code reviews, mentoring, and blocker resolution.
- Ability to remain hands-on in development and technical problem-solving.
- Strong experience with at least one modern frontend framework, including Vue.js, Nuxt.js, or React.
- Advanced backend experience with .NET Core, Python, or Node.js.
- Solid experience with RESTful APIs, relational and NoSQL databases, Git, testing automation, and CI/CD.
- Knowledge of microservices, integration patterns, scalability, caching, asynchronous processing, performance, and resilience.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work 100% on-site in Cancún, Quintana Roo, or relocate/be available to work there.
- Preferred knowledge of AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, serverless, distributed and event-driven architectures, SSR, SPA optimization, SEO, third-party API and SDK integrations, application security, and data protection.
- Preferred experience with developer AI tools, LLMs, agents, RAG, or AI services integrated through APIs.
- Hospitality, tourism, reservations, transactional platforms, e-commerce, or multi-integration systems experience is valued.
