Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the strategic vision for applied AI and Machine Learning within Tekion.
- Steer the R&D roadmap by identifying and capitalizing on emergent technological opportunities.
- Serve as the principal technical liaison between the R&D organization and executive stakeholders.
- Lead collaborations with product, engineering, and business units to define and integrate machine learning systems.
- Contribute to the scientific community through publications in premier academic conferences and journals.
- Mentor and cultivate a culture of scientific rigor among applied scientists.
- Establish frameworks for model evaluation and quantify the business impact of machine learning initiatives.
- Institute best practices for the machine learning lifecycle, championing ethical AI.
Requirements
- An advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S. preferred) in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Operations Research.
- A minimum of 7 - 9 years of post-academic experience in applied science or quantitative research roles.
- A distinguished track record of solving business-critical problems using a scientific, data-driven approach.
- Proven experience in programming, data manipulation, and building models in a business context.
- Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities for diverse audiences.
- A commitment to continuous personal and team development within a collaborative culture.
