Base Salary
$87k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive frontend applications using React, TypeScript, TSX, and Vite.
- Build backend services and APIs with Python frameworks such as FastAPI.
- Design database schemas, queries, and ORM integrations using SQLAlchemy and Postgres.
- Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker and Docker Compose.
- Translate stakeholder and technical requirements into prototypes and production systems.
- Develop large-scale applications with complex integrations and maintain architectural consistency.
- Implement APIs that integrate with external services and data sources.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to prepare applications for IL-5 environments.
- Integrate AI/ML models and LLM APIs into web applications.
- Write maintainable, documented code and address security requirements and vulnerabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, testing, and agile development processes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience developing and implementing software applications.
- At least 3 years of full-stack web application development experience with React and TypeScript or TSX.
- At least 2 years of experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
- At least 2 years of experience with ORMs and relational database design and optimization, including SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
- At least 2 years of experience developing backend services with Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.
- At least 2 years of experience with API design, implementation, and integration patterns.
- Experience with Python testing frameworks such as pytest and modern package management using UV.
- Ability to develop large-scale applications with multiple integrated components.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Preferred experience includes AWS, Lambda, S3, serverless architectures, CI/CD, automated testing, deployment automation, microservices, distributed systems, event-driven patterns, WebSocket implementations, infrastructure as code, Apache Airflow, Redux, and React Query.
- A Secret clearance is preferred.
