Responsibilities

  • Own the technical direction, reliability, scalability, and business alignment of LATAM Localization applications.
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack applications, RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and integrations.
  • Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to evaluate requirements, provide technical recommendations, estimate efforts, and support roadmap planning.
  • Lead technical discussions and architecture reviews.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support for critical production incidents and application issues.
  • Manage cloud solutions, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and CI/CD processes.
  • Implement modernization, automation, simplification, and technical debt reduction initiatives.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, code reviews, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, business, and external vendor teams.
  • Travel to local and global sites approximately 10% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in software development and application support.
  • Strong experience with Node.js, Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL Server.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
  • Experience building responsive web applications with modern UI technologies and CSS frameworks.
  • Knowledge of relational database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience implementing automated testing with tools such as Jest or Vitest.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and integrations.
  • Experience managing infrastructure as code with Terraform.
  • Experience with configuration management and orchestration tools, preferably Chef.
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Datadog monitoring and application observability tools.
  • Experience supporting production environments and resolving critical application issues.
  • Working knowledge of software security standards, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Oracle ERP, Epicor, or SAP preferred.
  • Previous rail industry experience is a plus.
  • Fluent English.
