Responsibilities
- Co-own the ML App codebase, including its React/TypeScript frontend, Kotlin services, and Kotlin ETL on EKS.
- Design and ship features for data labeling, data exploration, ML training orchestration, model evaluation, model playgrounds, and ML-issue triage.
- Drive the next iteration of in-house annotation tooling across UX, throughput, and task-type extensibility.
- Maintain CI/CD, EKS deployments, and LGTM-stack observability, and triage and fix defects.
- Collaborate with the Platform team on prerequisites such as the FGA proxy and OIDC for new training flows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production fullstack web applications with React and TypeScript.
- Excellent Kotlin or JVM backend experience, including services, ETL or data pipelines, and schema design.
- Demonstrated ownership of a complex, production-critical system.
- Experience engineering with regulated or sensitive data such as HIPAA, GDPR, BAA, PHI, or similar.
- Strong product and UX instincts for annotation, labeling, data exploration, and operations interfaces.
