Responsibilities
- Design, develop, install, document, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance software supporting financial processes.
- Develop new features as part of the software development lifecycle.
- Use accounting expertise to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
- Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
- Provide support and consulting for software system usage.
- Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in software development or equivalent mid-level development work.
- Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
- Understanding of financial operations including reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with backend API development and relational database storage and retrieval.
- Familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes.
- Required experience with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
