Responsibilities
- Own product problems and meaningful features end-to-end, from understanding user needs through production delivery.
- Build and ship frontend, backend, API, database, and infrastructure features across the product stack.
- Design APIs, data models, integrations, and internal systems for real-time financing workflows.
- Work directly with customers and internal teams to understand problems and iterate on solutions.
- Integrate with lenders, banks, payment providers, and other external platforms.
- Use AI development tools to prototype, build, debug, test, and ship software efficiently.
- Make tradeoffs among speed, simplicity, reliability, and long-term architecture while owning production quality.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent evidence of the ability to build and ship software.
- Strong full-stack web development experience.
- Experience with React, Next.js, or a similar modern frontend framework.
- Experience building backend applications and APIs; Ruby on Rails experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong fundamentals in relational databases and SQL.
- A record of taking ownership and shipping meaningful production software.
- Strong product instincts and the ability to turn ambiguous problems into simple solutions.
- Comfort working in a startup environment with quickly evolving priorities.
- Good judgment regarding testing, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Experience in fintech, healthcare, payments, lending, or other regulated industries is useful but not required.
