Base Salary
$75k - $100k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize native Android applications using Kotlin or Java.
- Implement offline synchronization, secure authentication flows, encrypted local storage, API integrations, and mobile-specific architecture patterns.
- Develop responsive mobile interfaces with strong performance, usability, and maintainability.
- Integrate mobile features with device-level functionality, hardware interactions, and specialized platform configurations when applicable.
- Work with backend and cloud engineers on secure mobile-to-API pipelines, data serialization, and scalable service interactions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with security, DevOps, cloud, product, embedded, and cross-functional teams.
- Support Google Play Store release pipelines and production-ready software delivery.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience designing, building, testing, and deploying Android applications.
- Experience with dependency management, offline data synchronization, API patterns, mobile testing strategies, authentication, and security.
- Experience integrating Android applications with backend APIs, cloud services, and third-party platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively on production-ready software.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred experience with Azure or AWS, cross-platform tools such as React Native or Flutter, AI-assisted development workflows, and enterprise or government environments.
- Candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents due to contract requirements.
Benefits
- Salary range is $75,000-$100,000, commensurate with experience.
- The position supports a CDC/NIOSH data modernization initiative and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Public Trust clearance.
