Responsibilities
- Design algorithms for trading a fleet of energy storage resources in ERCOT.
- Validate physics- and economics-based models in a simulation environment.
- Implement and deploy algorithms to the production trading stack.
- Quantify long-term financial risk under different operating strategies.
- Identify and assess new products and contract structures.
- Develop software to automate trade valuation and execution.
Requirements
- Expertise in optimization techniques and sequential decision-making algorithms.
- Proficiency in statistics, machine learning, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong software engineering skills, including test-driven development and CI/CD workflows.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a first-principles, intellectually curious mindset.
