Fullstack Java Software Engineer III
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality software solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Develop and maintain Java applications, algorithms, and production code in a large corporate environment.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to create visualizations and reports that improve software applications and systems.
- Identify technical problems and data patterns to improve coding practices and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore emerging technologies.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Promote safe and effective AI-assisted engineering practices, including secure handling of sensitive data and inputs and outputs.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, microservices, Java, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle and agile engineering practices.
- Understanding of application resiliency and software security.
- Knowledge of software applications and technical processes in disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technology.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Ability to guide peers on safe and effective AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud technologies is preferred.
