Systems Engineer, Product Platform Tools

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate backend services and infrastructure for Cloudflare's internal platform.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to onboard their applications onto the platform.
- Engage with non-engineering stakeholders to understand and translate their operational needs.
- Improve the platform's security and authorization posture in partnership with Security and Legal teams.
- Navigate and enhance legacy codebases to reduce operational toil.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in building and operating production backend services.
- Proficiency in Go and/or TypeScript.
- Experience in platform engineering or internal tooling for non-technical users.
- Strong understanding of authorization and authentication systems.
- Ability to work across organizational boundaries with diverse teams.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
- Strong database experience in high-availability environments.
