Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business problems into AI-driven solutions
- Design, implement, and integrate AI features into existing 8am products
- Partner with the Data team to collect, enrich, prepare, and stage data for AI use
- Build and evaluate AI-powered services from customer-facing prototypes through general availability
- Write Python code to manipulate data, interact with LLMs, and assess performance
- Develop reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure for AI deployment
- Work with cloud operations to deploy AI features, monitor impact, and continuously improve them
- Help architect unified AI platform infrastructure or build products on top of it
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in full-stack SaaS application development or backend engineering
- Proven experience building and deploying production-ready AI/ML services
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks, platforms, and related tooling
- Strong Python or equivalent modern technology development skills, with familiarity with data manipulation and evaluation workflows
- Experience building scalable data infrastructure and integrating models into broader SaaS systems
- Experience with AWS cloud environments or equivalent and modern DevOps practices
- Experience using AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, decision-making, or innovation
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred
- Experience fine-tuning and optimizing LLMs is preferred
- Experience integrating AI into streaming or real-time data flows, NLP background, or fintech/legal industry experience is preferred
