Responsibilities

  • Lead development, deployment, and production support of AI/ML-driven wafer-level and die-level image-processing solutions for automated visual inspection.
  • Design, implement, and sustain vision and image-processing pipelines for crack detection, defect classification, image stitching, and optical inspection analysis.
  • Develop, train, validate, and maintain machine learning models for AI-powered optical inspection.
  • Integrate AI/ML solutions with fab automation systems using equipment and process data for anomaly prediction and early detection.
  • Deploy, debug, and sustain automation, inspection, and process-control solutions in the fab with cross-functional engineering and operations teams.
  • Ensure data quality, traceability, and consistency across equipment, inspection, and analytics systems.
  • Apply statistical, analytics, and machine learning techniques to improve throughput, accuracy, process stability, yield, and root-cause identification.
  • Respond to production issues, minimize downtime, and maintain inspection and automation system performance and reliability.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of data analytics experience in semiconductor, materials, or a related industry, or demonstrable equivalent abilities.
  • BS/MS or equivalent degree in computer science, software engineering, physics, mathematics, statistics, or a similar STEM field.
  • Ability to independently lead complex technical initiatives and provide technical direction in AVI, AI/ML, and automation without direct authority.
  • Experience modeling, analyzing, and validating complex, imperfect manufacturing and inspection datasets, including image and in-situ equipment data.
  • Strong understanding of statistical fundamentals and their application to machine learning, defect detection, process monitoring, and anomaly identification.
  • Solid knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes; process engineering, materials science, or related natural sciences experience is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, problem-solving, and cross-functional influence skills for high-pressure manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to work full-time on a computer and in a cleanroom environment as needed for integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
